CALL LOGGER HISTORY FILE, v3.3
===========================================================================
=== v3.3 ===
- Released June 19, 1995! (ONE YEAR AFTER v3.2! Jeesh!)
- The new error checking routines installed in v3.1 used the GU command
abbreviation, yet the abbreviation was never set in the beginning of
the file(which meant if an error occurred, wrong results printed)
- Placed FORBID()/PERMIT() statements around direct writes to the text
file(s), so as to not cause problems on multi-line bbs's.
- Added a V14 variable to allow SysOp to specify color of the Border in
the Quick Log output, as I noticed the Dark Grey is BLACK when viewed
on 8-color terminal screens. Defaults to being BRIGHT BLUE internally.
- Changed "Logging your call..." into "Call logging..."/"Call logged!"
animation, cuz I liked it!
- Optimized coding down to 117 lines of code. Lots more speeeeeeeed!
=== v3.2 ===
- Due to an oversight on my part, I neglected to notice the 3.1 version
was still using the OLD STYLE MCI commands. This version was simply
sent through the UP250 program to convert to the newer style.
=== v3.1 ===
- Simply updated for CNet, v3.05c. Includes newer Error Checking routines,
loss of carrier routines, and version strings. Nothing else within the
file has changed.
=== v3.0 ===
- This version gives the option to create a "Quick" Call_Log output
which contains less color and graphics, so as to display faster for
300 to 2400 baud callers.
- New SysOp Variables dealing with the Quick Log Format.
- Ability to display a "Private" message for those callers the Logger
would normally ignore.
- Call_Log can now be ordered from Newest to Oldest calls, or from
Oldest to Newest calls. SysOp definable.
- Fixed a problem with the SignOn/SignOff times when 12 Midnight was
used. Now lists as 12:00a, instead of 00:00a.
- Written for C-Net 2.40e and above. Will NOT function with earlier
C-Net versions. Get the NEWER versions! They're Greeeeaaaatttt!
- Because of the new variables, users of the v2.0 Logger will have to
restart their logs by deleting their "_Computers", "_Config", and
"Call_Log" files and start from scratch.
=== v2.0 ===
- The "_Start", "_End", and "_Data" files are GONE!!!!
- The Call Log file is ONE text file, suitable for use as a GFile!
- Incorporates all fixes from the 1.+ versions!
- All support files are stored in their own directory.
- SysOp can state whether Log can be Aborted or Not by their users.
- SysOp definable paths for support files AND the Call_Log itself.
- Please see the "CALL_LOGGER_READ_ME!" file for the NEW instructions
to get this NEW version up and running on your system!
=== v1.2 ===
- This version ran for a week on the support bbs, but was never
officially released to the public.
- Fixed a problem where the U/D status was not being correctly figured
from the "log.calls" file.
- This version enabled user to abort the Call_Log while viewing.
- Another problem with the Computer Types if the "bbsmenu" file was
edited and saved using something other than MicroEmacs. Fixed now.
=== v1.1 ===
- Slight problem with the Computer Types creator. The file was not
correctly reading the first Computer Type, which caused printed
output to look strange. Fixed now.
=== v1.0 ===
- First Public Release.
- Written September 8, 1992.
